Sunland Park, NM – The South Central Regional Transit District (SCRTD) proudly participated in the Annual Sunland Park Parade, showcasing two of its newest battery-electric buses and an electric vehicle (EV) van. In addition to participating in the parade, SCRTD provided shuttle service to and from the event, making it easier for community members to join the festivities.
The parade, organized by the City of Sunland Park Parks and Recreation Department, is a cherished annual event celebrating the vibrant and growing Sunland Park community. The parade route along Futurity Road passes by local landmarks such as the Sunland Park Casino and Western Playland, both significant activity hubs.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community while showcasing our commitment to clean, sustainable transit solutions,” said David Armijo, Executive Director at SCRTD. “Our battery-electric buses and EV van reflect the future of public transportation—efficient, eco-friendly, and designed with the community’s needs in mind.”
