NM State ended day three of the ITA Mountain Regional Championships with a gritty showing in singles qualifying play, with Roko Stipetic delivering the Aggies’ lone victory.

In the main draw’s Round of 16 consolation bracket, senior Roko Stipetic led the way for NM State, securing a hard-fought victory over Franco Quijano (Weber State). Stipetic edged out a close first set in a tiebreaker (7-6) before hitting his stride and taking the next two sets 6-2, 6-2, advancing to the next round. 

In other singles action, Tobias Wallin faced Emmett Potter (Utah) in a closely contested qualifying draw match but ultimately fell 6-1, 6-3, 10-4. Itay Feigin also had a tough battle facing David Duong of BYU, but was defeated in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. 

Despite the setbacks, the Aggies are eager to bounce back as they prepare for more competition in the coming days.
