LAS CRUCES, NM – The Roman Chip Quintet will bring the Valentine’s Day vibes to the next Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society meeting in February.
Continue your holiday celebration with the society during a special themed meeting. The quintet will even sprinkle in a few Valentine’s Day tunes to their set.
Saxophonist Roman Chip is a fellow MVJBS member and frequent performer during the society’s monthly meetings. He will be joined by four fellow musicians, including two who will make their MVJBS debut.
Quintet musicians include:
- Roman Chip, saxophone
- Miguel Torres, keyboard
- Steve Marquez, guitar
- Curt Bushaw, bass
- Ruben Galvan, drums
Audience members can join the MVJBS at 3 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2025 at Alma D’Arte Charter High School. A dessert social will kick off the festivities followed by music at 4 p.m.
Join the society a week before the meeting for the monthly Jazz Jam at Mom’s Coffee on University Avenue! All are welcome to join or even perform every second Thursday of the month.
The next Jazz Jam is at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2025. Those interested in performing can sign up online using the Google form.
Monthly meetings are open to the public and all are welcome. Attendance is $5 for society members, $10 for non-members and $2 for students at the door. Monthly Jazz Jams are free!
