The shooting at Gadsden High School Friday, May 24 resulted in the arrest of an alleged suspect, a juvenile.

Witnesses were able to identify the alleged suspect by name and that led to his arrest in Anthony, New Mexico later the same day.
The victim, a 66 year old Chamberino, New Mexico resident, was identified as Jaime Bonilla Castañeda. While the investigation continues, it is believed this incident arose from a road rage situation. The juvenile is being detained on charges of evidence tampering and 1st degree murder.
