NM State is set to host its second Big Ten opponent, the Oregon Ducks on August 22, at 7 p.m. at the NM State Soccer Athletic Complex. The Aggies and Ducks last met in 2022 at Papé Field, where the Aggies fell by a score of 2-0.

Aggie Accolades
Junior Meredith Scott earned the first Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week of the 2024 season, becoming the first Aggie to do so on the year. becomes the first Aggie to win Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week in the 2024 season. This is Scott’s second time winning a Conference USA Award in her career.
Scott is coming off a spectacular week scoring two goals in the first two contests of 2024. Her first came in the final 30 seconds of the 2-2 draw with then #23 USC. She shortly followed with her second goal of the week in the first three minutes of the UNM match, the first of three NM State goals in a 3-1 rout over rival New Mexico.
Record Watch
Entering the 2024 season three Aggies have made quite a splash in the Aggie record book. Loma McNeese currently sits at second in all-time assists and game-winning goals. The fifth year She is also third in points, third in shots, and fourth in goals.
Xitlaly Hernandez has continued climbing the record book in her five seasons wearing the crimson and white. She is sixth in all-time assists, seventh in shots, tenth in points and tenth in goals. Goalie Valerie Guha ranks second in all-time shutouts, sixth in goalkeeper wins, seventh in goals against average and tenth in career saves.
Unbeaten
The Aggies are currently on a ten-game regular season unbeaten streak, with their last loss being USC on Sept. 14, 2023. They are also on a six-game regular season home unbeaten streak with their last loss being UNLV on Sept. 7, 2023.
The Aggies are now 11-2-6 at home dating back to 2022. Since 2023 Offensive Player of the Year Loma McNeese arrived on campus the Aggies are 19-8-6 at home.
History
The Aggies and the Ducks have faced off just once before in 2022 where the Ducks defeated the Aggies 2-0. The only Duck that is still on the squad from the 2022 squad was Livvy Moore, who recorded one assist in the 2022 match. In the match, the Aggies recorded 15 total shots with five on goal along with six saves, compared to.
Scouting the Ducks
The Ducks currently hold a 2-0 record, with home wins over Seattle U and Portland State. This will be the first road contest of the season for Oregon, who went 0-9-2 away from Eugene in 2023. The Ducks have had three goals scored this year by Taylor Bryan, Carly Cormack and Moore. Moore is leading the team in shots with eight, she also has two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Maddy Goldberg has played the full 180 minutes in their two games, recording three saves with zero goals allowed.
