The public meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in Room 114M at Dona Ana Community College, 3400 Espina St.

The City of Las Cruces will be installing a multi-use trail along portions of the EBID canal that runs from University Avenue to Union Avenue and to Tortugas Drive.

The new trail will provide access under Interstate 10 and across Union Avenue. The trail will serve as a connection between the Pueblo of Tortugas and New Mexico State University. It will encourage walking and biking while improving safety by keeping pedestrians and bicyclists separate from vehicular traffic.
