This is a stormwater infrastructure improvement project aimed at controlling water flow and reducing flooding in the area. Crews will move utilities connections and build large concrete tunnels under the road to help water flow more efficiently.

Traffic will be continuously rerouted to help keep motorists and the crew safe, while making steady progress on the project, which is slated for completion around Nov. 1.

Doña Ana County is committed to minimizing traffic disruptions. However, delays are expected. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, follow traffic signs and be cautious near personnel and equipment, in the area.
