ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Suiting up for their regular season finale, the Aggies took to the Albuquerque Convention Center for day one of the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, hosted by the University of New Mexico. A total of eight Aggies competed in the 3000m, with Amanda Radava and Jordan Torres finishing in the top-3; while Marlene Mosqueda took third in the 600m.

Track Headlines
The 200m dash (unseeded) kicked off the afternoon on the track, with Jaylah McDonnell turning in one of her two personal bests on the day – claiming the top finish among Aggies with a time of 24.22 seconds. Finishing second for NM State was senior Mickaliliah Vassell, tallying a season-best time of 24.42.
Highlighting the day from the track, the 3000m featured eight Aggie student-athletes across the two heats. Amanda Radava finished second overall with a raw time of 10:12.19, the fastest for NM State this season. Just behind was Jordan Torres, taking third while tallying a raw time of 10:14.77. In total, five Aggies finished with personal records in the event – Radava, Torres, Nia Allison (5th; 10:19.46), Kayla O’Connell (10:28.78) and Trista Cordova (10:54.10). Unoffically, Cordova’s time of 5:38.80 through the first 1600m of the event would constitute a personal best for the freshman.
Racing the 400m (unseeded) for the first time this season, Jhana Downie secured the top placement for the Crimson & White, crossing the line with a time of 55.29. Similarly, Jahnya Hillcompeted in the event for the first time this season tabbing a time of 56.20.
Marlene Mosqueda took third overall in the 600m, tallying a new personal best in the process (1:34.42). Angela Korte also picked up a new personal best (1:36.63), while Breanna Moss finished with a time of 1:37.88 – competing in the event for the first time at NM State.
Field Headlines
Junior Alesha Lane continues to perform strongly for the Crimson & White in the weight throw, recording the best finishing among Aggies (10th) with a mark of 17.39m (57-0.75″). Rebecca Greenneared her personal best in the event with a best distance of 15.42m (50-7.25″).
Competing in the high jump for the Crimson & White, El Paso native Aileen Alvarado tallied a new personal best – posting a final progression of 1.61m (5-3.25″).
Jaylah McDonnell tallied the best result in the long jump for NM State, tallying a new personal best with a jump of 5.35m (17-6.75″). Cameron Hodges (5.29m [17-4.25″]) finished close behind, while Breanna Moss recorded a mark of 4.99m (16-4.50″) while competing in the event for the first time with the Aggies. Angelina Killings tabbed a season best with a result of 4.86m (15-11.50″).
For the second time this season, sophomore Aileen Alvarado posted a new personal best in the high jump, tallying a mark of 1.62m (5-3.75″). With this result, Alvarado stays at ninth in program history, behind a mark of 1.65m by Maria Spencer in 1999.
