Arrests have been made in separate shootings that critically injured two men in the last couple of weeks.

Sergio Guadalupe Jaquez, 30, is believed to be responsible for a shooting that critically injured a man June 23 at an apartment on south Telshor Boulevard. Jaquez was arrested Monday, July 8, at the port of entry in Santa Teresa, N.M.
Jaquez is charged with multiple felonies including aggravated battery causing great bodily injury, violating terms of his probation, violating terms of his parole and felon in possession of a firearm. He is currently incarcerated without bond at the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
Jaquez is suspected of the June 23 shooting that critically injured a 36-year-old man at an apartment on the 1400 block of south Telshor Boulevard. The victim remains hospitalized.
Meanwhile, the suspect in Sunday’s shooting that injured an 18-year-old man on north Alameda Boulevard has been arrested.
John Alexander Moreno, 28, was arrested Sunday evening and is charged with felony counts of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
Moreno is believed to be responsible for the Sunday, July 7, shooting that injured an 18-year-old man on the 2200 block of north Alameda Boulevard. The incident occurred about 9 a.m. Sunday. The 18-year-old victim remains hospitalized.
Moreno is currently being held without bond at the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
