Wallin claimed Athlete of the Week honors after delivering a dominant performance in singles play, going a flawless 3-0 from the No. 2 spot. His weekend was highlighted by a pivotal victory over Texas Tech’s Tyler Stewart (7-5, 6-2, 6-2), which helped NM State secure a historic win – its first over the Red Raiders since 2001. He closed out the weekend with back-to-back straight-set victories against UTRGV and Lubbock Christian.
The Aggies also earned recognition for their success in doubles action, as Wallin and Campos teamed up to post an undefeated 2-0 record. Their statement win over the weekend was a crucial 6-4 win over Texas Tech, playing a key role in NM State’s milestone victory. They were on the verge of adding a third doubles win against Lubbock Christian, leading 4-3 before the match went unfinished.

CUSA Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week – Tobias Wallin, NM State – So. – Sweden
Wallin put together a dominant weekend for the Aggies, finishing a perfect 3-0 in singles play from the No. 2 spot. His standout performance included a crucial victory over Texas Tech’s Tyler Stewart, helping NM State secure its first win over the Red Raiders since 2001. He capped off the weekend with consecutive straight set wins against UTRGV and Lubbock Christian. Wallin also excelled in doubles, going 2-0, with one of those victories coming against Texas Tech.

The duo of Campos and Wallin proved to be anchor for the Aggies this past weekend, delivering a perfect 2-0 record in doubles play from the No. 2 spot. Their standout performance included a crucial 6-4 victory over Texas Tech. In their final match of the weekend against Lubbock Christian, they were on the verge of securing a third win, holding a 4-3 lead before the match went unfinished.
CUSA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week – Zoie Epps, LA Tech – So. – Norman, Okla.
Epps helped lead LA Tech to a perfect 3-0 trip to Paducah, Kentucky, defeating Austin Peay (6-0), defending Ohio Valley Conference champion SEMO (4-0), and defending Missouri Valley Conference champion Murray State (5-1). The sophomore remains undefeated in singles in the spring, dominating the No. 2 position over Austin Peay (6-1, 6-2), SEMO (6-3, 6-0), and Murray State (6-1, 7-5). Epps improved to 8-0 in dual singles, having yet to drop a single set.
CUSA Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Ana Rodrigues, LA Tech — Montes Claros, Brazil
The doubles tandem of Zoie Epps and Ana Rodrigues helped their team to a perfect 3-0 weekend, beating Austin Peay (6-0), SEMO (4-0), and Murray State (5-1). Playing at the No. 1 position, the duo won all three matches to help the Bulldogs secure the doubles point in all three matches — 6-3 over Austin Peay, 6-4 over SEMO, and 6-1 over Murray State.
