As part of the Brittany Estates and Estados Serenos sewer extension and water line replacement project, residents on the following streets will experience a water outage between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
- Vista Cuesta between Agave Drive and Camino Real
- Camino Real between Bristol Avenue and Broadmoor Drive
- Agave Drive between Spanish Trail and Camino Real
Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, a door hanger notice will be posted a minimum of 24-hours in advance.
Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the city recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all cold-water faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities Dispatch at (575) 526-0500/TTY 711 for assistance.
