In partnership with Western National Parks Association, we are pleased to welcome back the Rio Grande Revelers Dixieland Jazz Band to perform at the park’s September Full Moon Night event. The Rio Grande Revelers are a band that focus on jazz from nearly a hundred years ago.

Join us for a relaxing fall evening on Tuesday, September 17, at 7:00 pm in the park’s natural outdoor amphitheater. The event is free, but park entrance fees will apply. To get to the amphitheater, drive approximately six miles beyond the entrance station to an intersection just after the Backcountry Camping Trail parking lot. Take a right at that intersection and then the second left. Drive approximately one mile further and the amphitheater will be on the right side. The parking lot will open at 6:00 pm. Seating is not provided at the amphitheater. You are encouraged to set up on the surrounding dunes and bring camp chairs, blankets, and coolers with food and drinks. The park’s hours will be extended to 10:00 pm for this event.

Plan Your Trip To White Sands

Planning to come to the Full Moon Night concert?

To reduce your wait time to enter the park please consider purchasing your entrance pass online ahead of time. It’s quick, easy, and comes with no additional cost. You can purchase your digital pass at https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/white-sands-national-park

Once purchased, digital passes are emailed and can be used immediately, stored on a personal device, or printed for future use. Rangers will not directly handle the digital passes, as they will only need to be scanned for verification.

Due to connectivity challenges at White Sands, we encourage you to purchase your passes and print them out or download them onto your mobile device before arriving at the park.

You still have the option to pay with credit card or cash at the entrance station, but we strongly encourage you to print or download the digital pass ahead of time to save time and reduce long lines entering the park.
