MATCH ONE | NM State 4, Lubbock Christian 3
The Aggies kicked off their doubleheader with a gritty 4-3 victory over Lubbock Christian, earning their first win of the spring season after a tough loss to UTSA in the home opener.

In singles play, the two teams battled to a 3-3 split. Leading the charge for NM State was Anna Pinaieva, who delivered a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory over Andrea De Bernardo. Freshmen Nadia Nemeth and Montana Parkinson-Lubold also stepped up when it mattered most. Nemeth cruised past Mariia Koroleva with a commanding 6-0, 4-0 performance, while Parkinson-Lubold secured a hard-fought 7-6, 6-1 win over AnaMaria Zoric to even the singles matches.

Doubles proved to be the deciding factor, with the Aggies securing the crucial point thanks to two strong pairings. Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Lisa Zhu defeated Koroleva and Herath 6-2, while Nadia Nemeth and Anna Pinaieva battled to a 6-4 win over Jacquemin and De Bernardo. These wins clinched the doubles point and sealed the Aggies’ hard-earned first win of the day.
