Who:
Early childhood professionals, educators, directors, and staff working in child care programs across New Mexico.
What:
Join the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) for an in-person information session on Universal Child Care. Learn about the new policy updates, participation requirements, and the supports available to help child care providers, early childhood professionals, and program leaders succeed. These sessions are a chance to connect directly with ECECD leadership and staff, ask questions, and receive guidance as we work together to implement Universal Child Care statewide.
Spanish interpretation will be available at every session. If you require other accommodations, such as a sign language interpreter, please email ececd.communications@ececd.nm.gov at least five business days before the session.

Community Conversations with Local Early Childhood Coalitions
| Community Conversations bring together families, educators, and community partners to share ideas and learn how Universal Child Care is supporting our communities. These sessions are hosted by local early childhood coalitions in partnership with ECECD. |
Join the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD), the Prenatal-to-Three Coalition and Local Early Childhood System Building Coalitions for an in-person Community Conversation on Universal Child Care.
These in-person sessions are an opportunity for families, educators, and community partners to come together, share ideas, and learn how New Mexico’s Universal Child Care policies are supporting children, families, and providers in communities across the state.
What to Expect:
- Updates from ECECD and local coalitions on Universal Child Care implementation
- Space to share your experiences, questions, and feedback
- Information on resources and supports available for families and providers
Who Should Attend:
Families, early childhood educators, community organizations, and anyone interested in supporting young children and families in New Mexico.

Universal Child Care Eligibility Fairs — In-Person Application Support
| Eligibility Fairs offer families one-on-one support with child care assistance applications and renewals, hosted at local child care programs with ECECD staff on-site. |
Families across New Mexico are invited to join an Eligibility Fair to get in-person support with child care assistance applications and renewals.
These events are hosted by local early childhood providers with on-site support from the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) to make the process easier and more accessible for families.
Who Should Attend:
Families interested in applying for or continuing assistance through Universal Child Care, or learning more about available family supports through ECECD.
How to Find an Eligibility Fair:
Eligibility Fairs will be held at participating child care programs throughout New Mexico. Want one in your community? Ask your child care provider or program director to request an Eligibility Fair with ECECD.
What to Expect:
- One-on-one help completing or renewing your Child Care Assistance application
- Guidance on eligibility, required documents, and next steps
- Answers to questions about Universal Child Care and other ECECD family supports
