Border Buildup: NMDOT announces newly renovated rest area and welcome center in Lordsburg

Upgrades include new flooring, lighting, HVAC systems, bathrooms, and fresh paint inside and out—plus a new roof, pet relief area, and improved accessibility.

Funding through HB2 in the legislature provided a $995,101 overhaul of the rest area and welcome center by NMDOT District One crews.
