Officially GO Time: County Reiterates Purpose of General Obligation Bonds Following Vote Certification

Voters approved both General Obligation bond questions on the November 2025 ballot, and the Board of County Commissioners has officially certified the results. This marks an exciting step forward in improving quality of life and investing in community spaces across the county.

Together, the two approved GO bonds – up to $140 million – will fund the planning, design, construction, and renovation of public facilities and infrastructure that will benefit residents for generations.

Bond Question 1 focuses on:

  • New recreation centers in the north and south county
  • Park and trail improvements
  • Upgraded community centersWastewater system improvements

Bond Question 2 focuses on:

  • Modernizing the fairgrounds for concerts and events
  • Converting the old speedway into an amphitheater
  • Improving road access and safety in Santa Teresa
