Breaking: Las Cruces Fire Department Extinguishes Early Monday Blaze at S. Telshor Apartment Complex

The first arriving crew found smoke and fire coming from a 2nd floor residence.

Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a fire in a two-story apartment building early this morning.

At about 4:30 a.m., Mon. Jan. 12, firefighters were dispatched to the report of a structure fire on the 1900 block of S. Telshor Blvd. The first arriving crew found smoke and fire coming from a 2nd floor residence.

Crews quickly attacked the fire and had the blaze under control in minutes. The apartment was occupied at the time of the fire, however that person was able to exit the apartment without any problem. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported in response to this fire.
