Unregistered Molotov: Man Arrested in Connection With Telshor Boulevard Arson

Estimated damage from the fire is approximately $5,000. The investigation remains ongoing.

On January 12th, Las Cruces Fire Department responded and put out a structure fire in a two-story apartment at the 1900 block of S. Telshor Blvd. Following an investigation, LCFD has determined the fire at 1955 S. Telshor Blvd. was intentionally set and classified as arson.

Following an announcement that a suspect had been identified, the Las Cruces Fire Department, in coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), has made an arrest.

ATF has arrested Richard Sepulveda, 47, in connection with the incident. Sepulveda is charged with Possession of an Unregistered Firearm (Molotov Cocktail). The fire was previously determined to be intentionally set. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. Estimated damage from the fire is approximately $5,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
