DALLAS – Opening the spring season, Middle Tennessee’s Isabella Johnson and New Mexico State’s Ethan Klose have been named Conference USA’s Golfers of the Week.
Energy Transfer CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Isabella Johnson, MTSU – So. – Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Johnson earned a top-15 finish at the Sea Best Intercollegiate last weekend in a stacked field including No. 8 Florida and No. 16 Duke. She pieced together three solid rounds to lead the Blue Raiders at 221 (+5). Averaging 73.6 strokes per round in Jacksonville, she shot four strokes better than the tournament average, including shooting over six strokes better than the overall average in the third round, 78.8. Her 13th-place finish marks her fourth top-15 place of the season, with all of her rounds this season counting towards the team score.

CUSA Men’s Golfer of the Week – Ethan Klose, NM State – Sr. – Phoenix, Ariz.
Klose tied for fifth at the N.I.T, shooting 68-68-71 to finish 9-under at the 54-hole event with his 16 birdies pacing the entire field. He was the only non-Power Four individual to finish inside the top 10 at the tournament. The senior’s three-round score of 207 marks the best 54-hole score of his career, claiming his second top-five finish.
