As all eyes turn to Italy for the next chapter of Olympic Winter Games history, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) hosted the Olympic Winter Games Fashion Showcase at Clubhouse 26: the official hospitality venue in Milan. The event brought together a host of beautiful winter sport style moments in the heart of the fashion capital, giving a taste of what to expect and celebrating the distinct creative flair of the Olympic Winter Games, Italian Style. The showcase featured a snapshot from National Olympic Committees (NOCs), including performance wear and Opening Ceremony outfits, with Olympians taking to the runway.

Innovation and style: Olympians showcase kits for Milano Cortina 2026

Sport and style have long intersected at the Olympic Winter Games, with cutting -edge performance innovation complemented by each team’s unique aesthetic and legendary fashion moments: from custom figure skating costumes to Opening Ceremony outfits.

As 2,900 athletes from 90 NOCs get ready to live their Olympic dreams at Milano Cortina 2026, the stage is set to witness the next chapter in Olympic Winter Games style. Offering a snapshot of what’s to come, the Olympic Winter Games Fashion Showcase highlighted performance innovations and style moments set to be worn by athletes on and off the field of play.

Sport meets fashion: 26 of fashion’s next generation create looks inspired by winter sports

A special, one-off collection of 26 designs inspired by winter sports was revealed at the showcase, created by students from the acclaimed Accademia di Brera – highlighting the next generation of creative talent and inspiring them through the Olympic Games.

Spotlighting the future of Italian fashion, students from the fashion design master’s programme of the Accademia Bella Arti di Brera – one of Europe’s most prestigious art schools – were invited to be part of the legacy of Milano Cortina 2026 – designing a high fashion piece inspired by the Winter Olympics as part of their master’s curriculum.

The 26 designs showcased take inspiration from the visual language of winter sports, drawing on shadows, shapes and patterns found in winter sports movement, together with inspiration from the Cortina d’Ampezzo 1956 vintage posters and heritage kits, and the Olympic rings: connecting colours to represent unison and the world coming together through sport. The designs were worn by students of Milan’s MD Model Academy, linking emerging design with next-generation talent.
