As you make plans for travel this spring break season, be aware that White Sands National Park will experience heavy traffic and congestion through the month of March.

To combat long wait times in fee booth lines, purchase your pass before coming to the park using the QR code or at the link provided. You can also come prepared with your America the Beautiful pass to show the ranger when you drive up the entrance station.

Foot traffic is also expected to be high at the White Sands National Park visitor center. To maximize your time in the dunes, plan your day ahead of time. Rangers are happy to answer any questions you may have, and you are welcome to shop at the bookstore and gift shop. However, to maintain fire safety regulations and prevent foot-traffic-jams, please do not loiter in or around the visitor center.

We appreciate your consideration in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our visitors and staff.
