What: This winter, visitors can take a guided ranger tour at many of New Mexico’s Historic Sites. These tours offer visitors a chance to gain a deeper understanding of the stories behind the people who once lived and worked at these sites. Sites offering weekly ranger tours include Coronado in Bernalillo, Fort Selden in Radium Springs, Los Luceros in Alcalde, Taylor-Mesilla in Mesilla, and Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site (beginning Feb. 28).

Where/When:
- Coronado Historic Site – Daily tours of reconstructed painted kiva at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- Fort Selden Historic Site – Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.
- Los Luceros Historic Site – Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
- Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site – Wednesdays – Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site – Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. beginning Feb. 28
Why: Ranger guided tours give visitors an opportunity to learn more information and hear unique stories about the sites. It also offers visitors a chance to ask more questions, providing a better understanding of each site’s unique history.
