The New Mexico Economic Development Department is now accepting applications for the New Mexico Quantum Technologies Award, a state-funded grant program supporting early-stage companies working in quantum and quantum-enabling technologies.

Mesa Quantum, the program’s first-cycle awardee, used the state’s support to establish a New Mexico presence and to advance its laser technology in collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories.

Eligible applicants must be for-profit companies that have previously secured outside funding. Companies headquartered in or outside the state are eligible; out-of-state companies must be authorized to do business in New Mexico, establish and maintain an in-state presence and use awarded funds to support New Mexico activities.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through April 30, 2026, at 5 p.m. MST.

An informational webinar on the program will be held on March 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. MST.
