Public Safety: White Sands Missile Range Honors Las Cruces Police with Army Certificate of Appreciation

On March 12, 2026, White Sands Missile Range recognized the Las Cruces Police Department with the Department of the Army Certificate of Appreciation and plaque. The LCPD participated in use-of-force training and active shooter training alongside the WSMR Site Defense Force.

Jeremy Story, the Chief of Police for the Las Cruces Police Department, accepted the recognition on behalf of his team, while Col. Matthew Johnson, WSMR Test Center Commander expressed gratitude for their dedicated support.
