Statewide, NM – Officers from New Mexico State Police conducted a 4-hour proactive traffic enforcement operation on Monday March 23, 2026, across the state.
From 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the operation focused on increasing safety and addressing traffic violations on Interstate highways, U.S. highways, and State Roads. The operation resulted in 515 traffic stops with 521 citations being issued for various traffic offenses.

New Mexico State Police will continue to hold operations like this throughout the year to promote highway safety.
