Competing in a Unique Setting

The Fort Huachuca rodeo carries added significance for competitors, as the event is held on an active U.S. Army installation.

Participants noted the opportunity to compete in front of service members and their families as a highlight of the weekend.

“It is such an honor to compete for those who serve and protect us, and their families who are just as committed,” the team shared on their Facebook page. “The energy from the crowd is unmatched.”

Local officials and attendees also praised the level of competition and sportsmanship on display, noting the presence of student-athletes from Cochise College, Central Arizona College, and New Mexico State University.

Community and Support

The rodeo was made possible through a combination of military and community partnerships, including support from Fort Huachuca MWR, the Sierra Vista Riding Club, and local sponsors.
