On Tuesday, March 31, the City of Las Cruces Housing and Neighborhood Services section hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally announce the opening of the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope Building Expansion.
This 4,500-square-foot expansion, funded by Capital Outlay, Congressional Directed Spending, and CDBG at $1.8M, will help Community of Hope expand and strengthen its services to better support those most in need.

Speakers at the ceremony included Senator Carrie Hamblen, City Councilor Johana Bencomo, and Nicole Martinez, Executive Director for Community of Hope.
The Community of Hope serves the homeless and near-homeless population. They provide a number of services from housing to case management to helping house veterans. A full listing of our services can be found here.
