Monday, March 30th – Mesilla Marshals Office hosted an awareness presentation ‘Outsmarting the Scammers’. Presented by Mesilla Marshal Deputy Reserve Henry Newman who is a retired Expert Forensic Computer Analyst for the federal government.
The event was held at the Mesilla Community Center during the lunch hour for senior citizens. Mr. Newman covered subjects regarding Identity Theft, Computer Scams, Unauthorized cash withdrawals from personal bank accounts, etc. Senior citizens were taught how to avoid the scams targeting them.
The next FREE presentation for the public will be held April 20th, 2026 (Monday) at 2 pm at the Mesilla Community Center 2251 Calle De Santiago, Mesilla, NM. A flyer will be posted on this site and throughout the Community Center.
