The Las Cruces Fire Department has two positions open for licensed clinicians within the alternative response programs: Mobile Integrated Healthcare and LIGHT (mobile crisis response).

These roles provide compassionate, community-based care where it’s needed most. In this role, you will respond alongside first responders to behavioral health crises, provide on-scene assessments, de-escalation, and short-term interventions. A qualified candidate will always have confidence in their ability to navigate folks through healthcare systems, and support proactive outreach, working with high-utilizer and vulnerable populations to improve health outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary public safety environment while making a direct, meaningful impact in the community.
