WEST POINT, Miss. – The New Mexico State men’s golf team wrapped up its final regular season tournament of the 2025-26 campaign with a ninth-place finish at the Mossy Oak Collegiate, competing against a deep field which included three teams ranked inside the top-20. NM State posted a three-round total of 884 (+20) after carding rounds of 288 (E), 301 (+13) and 295 (+7) at Mossy Oak Golf Club.
On the week, the Aggies also finished ahead of fellow Conference USA foes UTEP (T14, +27), Middle Tennessee (T14, +27), LA Tech (T17, +37) and Sam Houston (T17, +37).

NM State was paced by Mateo Payán, who produced one of the best individual performances of the event by finishing tied for seventh at 212 (-4). Payán opened with a 69 (-3) and followed with rounds of 72 and 71.
Javier Delgadillo finished tied for 60th at 225 (+9), improving his position with a steady 73 in the second round and closing the tournament with a 75. Ethan Klose placed tied for 69th at 227 (+11), rebounding from a challenging second round to post a solid 74 on Tuesday.
Rounding out the Aggie lineup, Kostka Horno finished tied for 73rd at 229 (+13) after opening with a 70 (-2), while Max Chan finished 99th overall at 239 (+23).
