Golf: CUSA 2025-26 All-Academic Teams Announced; Emma Bunch Selected Third Time

For consideration for CUSA’s first All-Academic team, nominees must have a 3.9 cumulative grade point average, must have participated in 75 percent of the team’s scheduled tournaments this season and should be a sophomore class standing.

DALLAS – Conference USA announced its 2025-26 Women’s Golf All-Academic Team on Thursday, honoring five First Team and five Second Team selections for their academic and athletic accomplishments this season. Student-athletes from Delaware, Jax State, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee, NM State, Sam Houston, UTEP and WKU earned scholastic recognition.

For consideration for CUSA’s first All-Academic team, nominees must have a 3.9 cumulative grade point average, must have participated in 75 percent of the team’s scheduled tournaments this season and should be a sophomore class standing.

Emma Bunch earns First Team All-Academic honors for the third consecutive season and boasts a 4.0 GPA in Biochemistry at NM State. The senior is averaging a 71.4 stroke average this season. She has been a leader for the Aggies, turning in four top-10 finishes and five top-12 finishes in her five tournaments this year. The Denmark native has posted four consecutive top-10 finishes, including earning a share of the title at The Clash at Boulder Creek to close out the fall season.
In her first season at Delaware, Kate Roberts earns First Team All-Academic recognition boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA majoring in Political Science. She has participated in all eight tournaments for the Blue Hens, earning a 76.04 stroke average. Roberts had one top-10 finish and three rounds under par during the 2025-26 campaign.

Lara El Chaib is a Fall 2025 CUSA Honor Roll and Academic Medal recipient as she leads Jax State in pars (197) and ranks second in birdies (36).  She has a 3.94 GPA while pursuing a degree in communication, public relations and advertisement.  She has a stroke average of 75.44 and took seventh overall at the Chris Banister Classic this season.

Jackie Jang boasts a 4.0 majoring in accounting and leads the Owls with one top-five finish and one top-10 finish. The sophomore is third on the team with a 4-over par average of 75.42. She finished fifth at the Dayton Invitational, shooting 10-over par.

Isabella Johnson has a 4.0 GPA while pursing an accounting degree as she leads MTSU with a 72.36 stroke average. She has 12 rounds at or below par, which is tied for the Blue Raiders’ single season record. The Murfreesboro, Tenn., native recorded four top-five finishes and earned CUSA Golfer of the Week on Feb. 4.

Delaware’s Mary Grace Dunigan, MTSU’s Jillian Bowman, Sam Houston’s Amelia Guo, UTEP’s Nichapas Thawinwan and WKU’s Sydney Hackett make up the All-Academic Second Team. For consideration for CUSA’s second All-Academic team, nominees must have a 3.75 cumulative grade point average or higher and have participated in at least 75% of their team’s scheduled tournaments this season.
