JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – NM State broke a late tie Thursday night at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium as Aidan Taclas crushed a three‑run home run, lifting the Aggies to a 6–3 win over Jacksonville State. NM State improved to 18-22 overall and 8-11 in conference play, picking up a win over a Gamecock team which entered the night atop the Conference USA standings.

NM State struck first in the third with back‑to‑back power, as Boston Vest led off the inning with a solo homer and Chris Daniels followed later with a two‑run shot to give the Aggies a 3-0 lead.
Jax State answered with a run in the fourth and plated two more in the seventh to tie the game at 3-3. NM State starter Connor Wylde worked six solid innings before turning the game over to the bullpen.

With the score still knotted entering the ninth, Vest and Steve Solorzano drew walks to set the stage for Taclas, who delivered the game‑winning three‑run homer to right field.
Julio Ramos earned the win in relief, and Dylan Weekly shut the door in the ninth to secure the save and the Aggies’ road victory.
