JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – NM State was held scoreless on Sunday at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium as Jax State claimed a 10-0 win to earn the series win over the Aggies. The loss drops the Aggies to 18-24 overall and 8-13 in Conference USA play.
The Gamecocks jumped out early with three runs in the first inning and continued to add pressure throughout the game, scoring in six different frames. NM State was limited to four hits, with singles from Steve Solorzano, Chris Daniels, Camden Kaufman and Dane Woodcook, but was unable to string together a rally.

Jax State starter Steven Cash went the distance, allowing no runs. JT Price took the loss for the Aggies, with NM State using five pitchers overall as it worked to slow down the Gamecock offense.
NOTABLES
- Chris Daniels extended his hitting streak to 10 games, becoming the third Aggie this season to record a hit streak of 10 or more games. This also represents the longest active streak by any Aggie hitter.
- Sunday marks just the third time this season that the Aggies were shutout. This also serves as the first time since 2015 that NM State was shutout in back-to-back games.
