N.M. Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that paving improvements on NM 101 (University Avenue) near I-10 are now complete.

Last week, crews worked overnight milling and paving from NM 478 (South Main Street) to just past College Avenue to improve the roadway for everyone who travels through the area.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation addressed residents directly on their Facebook page: “We want to thank motorists, residents, and local businesses for their patience during nighttime operations and intermittent ramp closures. Your cooperation helped crews complete this project safely and efficiently.”

Please continue to drive safely, slow down in work zones and watch for crews across southern New Mexico.
