Emergency crews responded to a serious vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash Thursday along Country Club Road in Sunland Park that left a man in critical condition and temporarily shut down the roadway in both directions.
According to Sunland Park Fire Department, firefighters and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Officials said a man in his mid-20s sustained critical injuries in the crash and was airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso by El Paso Fire Department’s FireStar air medical unit.
Country Club Road was closed in both directions for approximately one hour while Sunland Park Police Departmentconducted an investigation into the crash.
Additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision had not been released Thursday evening.
