Baseball: Jonatan Clough Collects CUSA All-Academic Team Honors

The redshirt junior earns award for second straight year.

DALLAS – For the second consecutive season, Jonatan Clough has been selected to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Friday morning following a vote of the conference’s 12 head coaches. The honor recognizes individuals who are maintaining a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better while also contributing on the field as a starter or key reserve.

Clough, a redshirt junior from La Romana Del Oeste, Dominican Republic, has appeared in 41 games and made 39 starts this season and is one of three Aggies to earn CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal honors this year. He is currently majoring in sociology and is maintaining a 4.00 grade-point average.
 
The outfielder currently paces the Aggies in batting average (.333), while slugging .585 and maintaining an on-base percentage of .427. He has notched 34 RBIs and 25 extra-base hits, including 15 doubles, five triples and five home runs. His five triples lead CUSA and actively rank 14th in the nation.
 
With two games remaining, he has 14 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games. Has recorded an extra-base hit in 19 games this season and became the first Aggie since 2020 to tally seven RBIs in a single game. With five hits and seven RBIs on March 10, he is also tied for the most hits and most RBIs in a single game by any CUSA hitter this season.
