Film Las Cruces, The Rio Grande Theatre, and The Asylum, an independent film company famous for its cult classic “Sharknado” and shark film franchise, will host a special screening of their latest film, “Shark Thrash”, on June 6th at 6:00 pm at the Rio Grande Theatre!

Synopsis: When a tropical storm unexpectedly intensifies over a small town in “Shark Thrash” the resulting storm surge floods the community and brings with it an unprecedented phenomenon: massive numbers of great white sharks driven inland by the turbulent waters. As buildings collapse, power fails, and the floodwater rises higher than anyone anticipated, a family vacation becomes a desperate fight for survival. The Peterson family and the locals they encounter must navigate a flooded urban landscape now inhabited by apex predators, all while racing against time, hypothermia, and the unpredictable power of nature. It’s a harrowing tale of human resilience, family bonds tested to their breaking point, and the primal terror of being hunted while trapped in an increasingly deadly environment.
