Doña Ana Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in Anthony on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, according to the department.
One person was evaluated and treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but declined transportation to a medical facility. No additional injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

House fires can produce dangerous conditions even after flames are extinguished. Fire officials routinely remind residents that smoke inhalation can pose serious health risks and that damage from heat, smoke and fire can affect a structure long after the incident has ended.
Additional information was not immediately available.
