Firefighters from the Sunland Park Fire Department and Doña Ana Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in the 900 block of Nickel Hill early Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after 1:25 a.m. and worked to ensure all occupants safely evacuated the home before bringing the fire under control. According to responding agencies, the fire was contained to the garage and did not spread into the interior living areas of the residence.

No injuries were reported. Fire officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
