It’s Monsoon Awareness Week, and this time of year we can experience extreme heat which can affect our travel plans. Part of the state may see dust storms while another part may be experiencing flooding. Do not drive through either of these conditions. In a dust storm pull off the road to a safe spot, turn off your lights and wait for the dust to blow away. If the road is flooded, turn around, don’t drown. (Photos Courtesy NMDOT)
