Thursday Afternoon Fire Damages Mobile Home on Calle Sosa 

The first unit arrived on the 1300 block of Calle Sosa to find a double wide mobile home with a working fire coming from the attic space.

Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a fire that damaged a mobile home Thursday afternoon on Calle Sosa. 

Just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, firefighters were called to a report of a residential structure fire at the intersection of Calle Sosa and Encino Avenue. The first unit arrived on the 1300 block of Calle Sosa to find a double wide mobile home with a working fire coming from the attic space. Crews made entry into the mobile home, completing a search and attacking the fire.

The fire was brought under control within 13 minutes of the first crew’s arrival. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
