According to State Police, the team responded May 29 in support of an active investigation involving a vessel that had sunk in approximately 24 feet of water.

Dive team members located the approximately 26-foot vessel, which was found standing vertically underwater and posed a potential navigational hazard for boaters using the lake.

After locating the vessel, divers assessed the scene and rigged the boat for recovery operations. State Police said the effort supported both the ongoing investigation and public safety by helping remove a hazard from the waterway.
