Firefighters from Sunland Park Fire Department, Doña Ana Fire Rescue and supporting agencies responded to a residential structure fire late Tuesday night in the 5500 block of Grove Drive in Sunland Park.
According to fire officials, responding crews discovered a fire burning in the attic space of the home upon arrival. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other portions of the residence.
No injuries were reported in the initial incident information released by authorities.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Sunland Park Fire Marshal’s Office.
Fire crews remained on scene until approximately 11:57 p.m. while completing suppression operations and ensuring the fire was fully extinguished.
