Thursday Afternoon Residence Fire in Chaparral

CHAPARRAL — Firefighters with Doña Ana Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in Chaparral Thursday afternoon and successfully extinguished the blaze.

One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but declined transport to a hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
