Doña Ana Crisis Triage Center Offers 24/7 Mental Health and Substance Use Crisis Care

LAS CRUCES — Adults experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis in Doña Ana County have access to around-the-clock crisis stabilization services through the Doña Ana Crisis Triage Center, a partnership between Doña Ana County and Peak Behavioral Health.

County officials recently welcomed community members, agencies and partner organizations to an open house showcasing the center’s services and providing a closer look at the resources available to residents in crisis.

The center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing immediate assessment and short-term stabilization for adults ages 18 and older experiencing behavioral health emergencies. Designed as a 23-hour crisis triage center, the facility focuses on helping individuals stabilize and safely return to the community whenever possible. Those requiring additional care may be referred to inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment or outpatient services based on their needs.

Services available at the center include mental health assessments and diagnosis, medication management, counseling and therapeutic interventions, continuous 24-hour monitoring, and discharge planning to help connect individuals with ongoing community resources.

The Crisis Triage Center recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, a nationally recognized accreditation awarded to health care organizations that meet rigorous standards for quality and patient safety.

The Doña Ana Crisis Triage Center is located at 1850 Copper Loop in Las Cruces.
