Sunland Park Seeks Youth, Senior Volunteers for City Hall Community Garden [Bilingual Post]

SUNLAND PARK — The City of Sunland Park is inviting residents to help cultivate more than fresh produce this growing season as it launches the rehabilitation of its City Hall Community Garden.

The year-round program pairs youth volunteers with senior mentors to grow organic fruits and vegetables while promoting healthy eating, hands-on learning and stronger community connections. City officials say the project is designed to create opportunities for different generations to work together while producing seasonal food for the community.

Organizers are currently seeking both young people and older adults interested in volunteering. Whether participants have years of gardening experience or are planting for the first time, the city encourages residents to become involved in the effort.
