LAS CRUCES — Residents across Doña Ana County will have five consecutive days of entertainment, concerts, family activities and patriotic celebrations as the City of Las Cruces and Doña Ana County coordinate events commemorating America’s 250th Anniversary.

The celebration begins Tuesday, June 30, with three evenings of free entertainment at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds before transitioning to the City of Las Cruces’ annual Fourth of July festivities on July 3 and 4.

County officials say the fairgrounds celebration is designed to complement the city’s Independence Day events, creating nearly a week of activities for residents and visitors.

In addition to nationally recognized musical acts, the county celebration will feature local and regional performers across multiple stages, family activities, food vendors and nightly drone shows. Visitors will also have an opportunity to contribute photographs, letters, newspaper clippings, school yearbooks and other memorabilia to a community time capsule that will remain sealed until July 4, 2076.
