NM 101 Multi-Use Trail Recognized for Supporting Safe Routes to School

LAS CRUCES — The New Mexico Department of Transportation recently received recognition from the Las Cruces Public Schools Safe Routes to School program for the new NM 101 multi-use trail, highlighting the project’s role in improving transportation options for students, families and the broader community.

The NM 101 project expands opportunities for walking, bicycling and other forms of active transportation while improving safety and accessibility along the University Avenue corridor. The improvements are part of ongoing efforts to create transportation networks that better connect neighborhoods, schools and community destinations.
