In conjunction with the recognition, Story requested that donations associated with the ceremony benefit the New Mexico Dream Center rather than himself. With support from Representatives Rebecca Dow and Jenifer Jones, contributions provided shoes, socks and clothing for New Mexicans in need.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office congratulated Story on the recognition, describing his selection as a reflection of the positive impact of collaborative law enforcement partnerships throughout New Mexico.
