New Mexico Military Museum cohosts special event

SANTA FE, N.M. — The New Mexico Military Museum and the School for Advanced Research cohosted “An Evening with Maggie and Ned Blackhawk” July 18th in the museum’s auditorium.

Museum Director Laureta Huit made opening remarks. Museum Collection Manager Aaron Krebsbach was on hand to help Huit greet attendees for the standing-room-only event.

Brig. Gen. Nathaniel Carper, the Deputy Adjutant General and Land Component Commander, represented the New Mexico National Guard. Carper also greeted the Blackhawks as they took the stage.

Maggie Blackhawk is a law professor and author. Ned Blackhawk is a history professor and also an author.

The New Mexico Military Museum is located at 1050 Old Pecos Trail in Santa Fe. It is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
